Mover

Moving Teams are the frontline interface with our customers. The Mover will work alongside fellow team members to pack and load items onto the moving truck for transportation and unload and unpack them at the destination. The ability to provide assistance and support to team members as needed is essential to success in this role.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Available Monday through Saturday and keep a detailed timesheet
  • Uphold the company’s commitment to customer service excellence
  • Interact with fellow employees and customers professionally at all times
  • Adherence and understanding of all the company’s standard operating procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to pack and load items onto the moving truck, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation
  • Assist in disassembling furniture such as beds, tables, or chairs, and reassembling them at the destination as needed for safe transportation
  • Unload and unpack items at the designated location, ensuring they are placed in the correct rooms and locations
  • Ensure that no items are damaged while moving, and immediately report broken or damaged items
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage to property
  • Pack and/or unpack items for short-term and/or long-term vault storage in the warehouse
  • Perform various duties in the warehouse as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • Furniture Moving (preferred)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be in good physical condition, and pass a physical exam
  • Stamina to lift heavy items (50lbs or more) repeatedly while walking, including stairs
  • Dependable and flexible to work varying shifts based on customer demand. Overtime is required
  • Punctual and professional
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Driver’s license is a plus

Pay:

  • Hourly rates starting at $16 per hour plus tips average of $20 – $100 a week
  • Paid biweekly

Driver/Mover

Our Drivers/Lead Movers are responsible for safely transporting our customers’ belongings to their new location, providing excellent customer service, and working as team leaders of the moving team. They must build and maintain a positive team culture. The Lead Mover is the key contact to customers when on-site performing load and unloading activities. They will communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met, and any issues are addressed promptly.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Available to work Monday thru Saturday, keep a detailed timesheet.
  • Uphold the company’s commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Interact with fellow employees and customers professionally at all times.
  • Lead a team of movers, providing clear directions and ensuring a safe and efficient move.
  • Drive company moving truck to the designated location while adhering to state and federal traffic laws and company policies, including ELD compliance.
  • Adherence and understanding of all the company’s standard operating procedures.
  • Arrive at destination on schedule, researching and using navigation to determine the best route.
  • Conduct pre-move and post-move walk-thru to ensure all items are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Pack and load items onto the truck, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation.
  • Direct the team in unloading and unpacking items at the designated location.
  • Disassemble furniture such as beds, tables, or chairs, and reassemble them at the destination as needed for safe transportation.
  • Ensure that no items are damaged while moving, and immediately report broken or damaged items.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, mileage, and fuel, as well as any issues or incidents that occur during the move.
  • Ensure the trucks are always fueled, clean, and ready for use.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain a productive and safe work environment and ensure all team members are following OSHA, DMV, and state and local guidelines.
  • Pack and/or unpack items for short-term and/or long-term vault storage in the warehouse.
  • Perform various duties in the warehouse as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial License
  • Clean driving record (MVR)
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be in good physical condition, pass a physical exam
  • Stamina to lift heavy items (50lbs or more) repeatedly while
  • walking, including stairs
  • Punctual and Professional
  • Dependable and flexible to work varying shifts based on
  • customer demand.
  • Experience:
    Truck driving (2 years required)
    Crew Leader (1 year preferred)
    Furniture moving (preferred)

Pay:

  • Hourly rates starting at $18 per hour plus tips average of $20 – $100 a week
  • Paid biweekly
